Publication Ethics and Policy

The International Journal of Business, Uncertainty and Policy (IJBUP) is committed to maintaining the highest standards of publication ethics and integrity. All parties involved in the publication process—authors, editors, and reviewers—are expected to adhere to these principles.

For Authors:

  • Authors must ensure that their work is original, properly cited, and free from plagiarism or any form of academic misconduct.

  • Any conflicts of interest, financial or otherwise, should be disclosed.

  • Authors should avoid submitting the same work to more than one journal simultaneously.

For Reviewers:

  • Reviewers are expected to provide timely, constructive, and unbiased evaluations.

  • Reviewers must respect the confidentiality of the manuscripts they review.

  • Conflicts of interest should be disclosed, and reviewers should decline to review manuscripts where such conflicts exist.

For Editors:

  • Editors are responsible for maintaining the integrity and quality of the journal.

  • Editorial decisions are based on the scholarly merit of the manuscript, independent of commercial or personal considerations.

  • Editors ensure the confidentiality of submitted manuscripts and handle any ethical issues, such as allegations of misconduct, in accordance with established guidelines (e.g., COPE).

General Principles:

  • The journal adheres to the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) for resolving cases of suspected misconduct.

  • All parties are expected to act with honesty, transparency, and fairness, to maintain the credibility of the scholarly record.
