Copyright and Licensing

For journals operating under a subscription model, authors are required to either transfer copyright or grant exclusive publishing rights to the journal owner, depending on the journal’s policy. This approach helps to:

  • Protect authors’ work from copyright infringement, plagiarism, and other legal issues;

  • Streamline requests for reuse or reproduction of the work;

  • Facilitate wider sharing and dissemination of research within the framework of copyright guidelines.

Authors retain the right to use their work for personal, educational, or non-commercial purposes, while the journal manages publication rights for distribution, archiving, and licensing.
